Finnish National Core Curriculum is at the heart of our operations and starting point for all we do. The main language of instruction is English, but because we value languages as a key to culture, our students have the opportunity to study Hindi, Marathi, and other languages.
In addition to teaching academic skills and content, we focus on assuring our students are equipped with competences to apply knowledge in life, with whatever it holds.
Following the Finnish way, our pedagogy enables academic and intellectual development while nurturing mental and physical well-being. We promote unique, balanced, and holistic learning experiences from early years onwards. We believe learning is a process that doesn’t only happen in the classrooms. It is a continuous process built on a spiral structure where new knowledge is learned through real-life experiences together with others.
Our teaching promotes student-centred approach complimented by a comprehensive support system, which ensures that everyone has the opportunity to succeed. Every student is supported on their own learning path through a variety of hands-on methods that are motivating and age appropriate. We expect and encourage our students to engage in and take charge of their own learning process. Students learn how to develop, direct, and evaluate their learning. They also gain cognitive and life skills that help them navigate everyday challenges throughout life.
As school should prepare students for life and life is a holistic phenomenon, we provide our students with opportunities to explore the world through phenomenon-based learning. Using an inter-disciplinary approach with cross-curricular themes allow our students to view the world through a wider lens.
